In The Dark
I laughed and I smiled,
And when it was over,
I walked back to my room.
My facial expression: There wasn't once..
I closed the door behind me; like always.
I put on music and grabbed my razor.
I held happiness in my hand.
I put it to the top of my forearm.
Thoughts scattered..
I shouldn't do this..
What if someone sees them..
I want to cut deeper..
I want to see my pain bleed out..
I wish this all would just go away.. then I would never have to face this pain
I pushed the razor deep into my arm,
And began moving down.
Nothing happened at first.. then the flood came.
The cut was wide, it was deep..
The red overwhelmed me.
